The event

The Manipal Run (5km and 10km) is a charity run organised by the Manipal Alumni Association Malaysia (MAAM) for special needs children mainly autistic children.

When, where?

Date: Nov 12, 2017 (Sunday)
Time: 6.30am - 10.30am
Venue: Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences

So, how many former and current national athletes will be involved?

100! (One hundred, satu ratus, 一百,  நூறு)

Organising chairperson Dr Nyana Kalaiwani Krishnan said: "We are inviting 100 of our ex and current Malaysian athletes as our ambassadors for this event.

"They will run alongside our autistic children in the 5km run. It is very overwhelming to see the support we are getting from them to join our event."

Dr Nyana said the aim of the run is to promote healthy living, raise awareness about special needs children and help out the children in as many ways possible.

"We also agree that it is our responsibility to give back to the society in some way such as this event."

Money collected from the event will be donated to the Autism Society.

Mark your calendar and join the fun - it's for a good cause after all.
