Malaysia All Stars under further scrutiny

KUALA LUMPUR — Asian Football Confederation (AFC) vowed to probe the friendly between Indonesian club Persib and Malaysia All Stars in Bandung on Saturday after they were informed the visiting team were there for a “vacation”. AFC general secretary Datuk Windsor Paul John said Indonesian football officials revealed they too had no clue about the game at Si Jalat Harupat Stadium. The visiting team coached by Nick Sham Abdullah lost 4-1. The match was shown live on MNCTV and the “All Stars” had MNCTV’s brand on their yellow jerseys. “Many seem to be in the dark. I was later told the Malaysian team were on a holiday,” John said. “Once a national FA is suspended, no such activities can take place. We will investigate this matter further.”  Indonesia FA were suspended by Fifa in May following government interference in their local league. Nick Sham could also face suspension said National Coaches Association president B. Satianathan. The former intern...

Selangor on shopping spree; Raja stays neutral about Malaysia Cup final

Selangor having failed in their ‘mission 33’ to wrest the Malaysia Cup after last winning it in 2005, have not wasted any time in preparing for the new season. They have already signed former Selangor player Mehmet Durakovic as head coach, after having failed to secure B. Satianathan. FA of Selangor deputy president Datuk Mokhtar Ahmad confi rmed the appointment of Australian Durakovic earlier this week and also disclosed he will be bringing two players with him — a midfi elder and defender. Mokhtar said talks have also been held with national striker Safee Sali while they are also on the lookout for a goalkeeper coach. The three goalkeeper coaches in the race are former Selangor and Czech World Cup custodian, Karel Stromsik, former national goalkeepers Khairul Azman Mohamed, currently with Johor Darul Takzim and Selangor’s Azilsham Ibrahim, now with Pahang.   “Safee has indicated his interest in playing for Selangor, but he will have to sort out his status with JDT a...

Kelantan punyai kelebihan - walaupun didenda RM40,000

Satianthan tepat menyatakan sedemikian kerana Kelant...

Satia's next stop...

Myanmar or Indonesia? That could be the possible destination for Kelantan's B.Satianathan ( pic ). Satianathan is a man who prefers to be on the field with the lads than watching from the stands. This was evident as he was feeling 'uncomfortable' sitting at the VIP box during the KL v Kelantan friendly match at the Selayang Stadium two weeks ago. Satianathan served his 6 month long suspension handed by the FA of Malaysia late last year. He didn't head-butt anyone or performed a flying kick on any official - although he would love to if given the chance. All he did was question the Super League fixture between two teams last year. Now that's in the past, as reported by Utusan Malaysia today . HD says: I doubt Satianathan will coach an M-League team. Anyone wanna bet? Loser gets to buy lemang and rendang ayam.
