Wan Zack 'frustrated'?

Image
UPDATE June 12 10.21am: Now Harimau Muda A coach Ong Kim Swee is frustrated as talks of 'interference' from an M-League team heightens. -------- Apparently he is "frustrated" with the support system with his Japan club Ryukyu FC. It is obvious he is tired of being sidelined for almost two months as his injury does not seem to get better. Those close to him claim he is not ruling out the possibility of returning to Malaysia. Could national player Wan Zack Haikal Wan Noor return to the M-League? He admitted there were shortcomings, but as a true professional, he would prefer to sort it out with the concerned parties. Read all about Wan Zack's Japan dilemma in today's Mailsport . HD says : Hope Wan Zack recovers soon!

A Japanese man who was arrested for brandishing a knife at auxiliary police after trespassing into a university near here on June 2, was found hanged at the grille of his lock-up cell at the USJ 8 police station, Subang Jaya, early Saturday. The full report by national news agency Bernama is seen here . Prior to this, there were eight recorded deaths in police custody. They include the case of 42-year-old P. Wans to go to Japan

Image
National player Wan Zaharulnizam Zakaria ( pic ) and Wan Zack Haikal Wan Noor are set to leave for Japan tomorrow as they have both landed a deal with Okinawa-based Japan Football League outift FC Ryukyu. Wan Zaharulnizam, or better known as Kecik, caught the attention of talent agency Japan Dream FA during the Olympic qualifying match between Japan and Malaysia at the Tosu Stadium in Japan last year - as per my article in The Malay Mail on March 12 . Japan’s football structure places the J-League as the highest division followed by the J-League Division 2 and the Japan Football League. The duo join the many more footballers who have and are currently plying their trade abroad. HD says : All the best to both Wans.

Samurais ready to slay Tigers

Malaysia vs Japan Olympic Preview by Rashidee_Mohd “We need to score and we’re going to score." - Japan Olympic coach Takashi Sekizuka. “We’re playing without pressure. If Japan play too offensively, they might just get caught." - Harimau Malaya coach Ong Kim Swee. Japan are not in Kuala Lumpur to only win. They want to score as many goals possible. Malaysia's London campaign is over but Kim Swee and lads will not go down without a fight as they host Japan at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil (kick off 9pm) in the Asian Qualifiers for the London Olympics. Read more here . Mohd Rashidee's decent video (above) sums the preview of the match well. HD says: All the best lads!

J-League JV

The FA of Malaysia (FAM) are in the midst of talking with their counterparts from the J-League in a bid to join forces for the development of football in the country. FAM deputy president Annuar Musa met up with several J-League officials at PJ Hilton last week, as reported in today's Mailsport . Hopefully, we could learn something from the Japanese and ensure the league is run "professionally" . No more gaji sangkut, EPF sangkut, insurance tak bayar, jadual berubah, lesen kad pemain belum siap etc. Malu lah. HD says: Let's hope for a good outcome.

Arigato FAM

The least the Japanese officials can do to thank us is by hosting a handful of FA of Malaysia (FAM) officials in Japan for about a week. The Japanese learnt from us to restructure their league some three decades ago. However, tables have turned. The Japanese are far ahead - both their league and the national team. We are still stuck in third gear. Now our officials are in Japan to learn from the Japanese - as published in today's Mailsport . Remember the 1984 movie Karate Kid? It's like Mr Miyagi learning how to "wax on wax off" from his protege Daniel LaRusso. How times have changed.
