2012 - 2011 Sportswriters Association of Malaysia (SAM) Journalist of the Year and Best Special Report award. 2013 - 2012 SAM Best Report award. 2014 - 2013 Malaysian Press Institute Best News Report award. 2015 - 2014 SAM Best Commentary award. April 13, 2016 - 2015 SAM-Siebel Award (Journalist of the Year) and Best News Report award. Yesterday -  Malaysian Press Institute Best Columnist Award (joint winner with NSTP Group Managing Editor Datuk Abdul Jalil Abdul Hamid). Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am, once again, truly humbled.

Malay Mail shines at national press awards

Malay Mail clinched the prize for Best News Report at the Malaysian Press Institute-Petronas Awards 2013 when Haresh Deol and Pearl Lee won for their series of reports in June last year on foreign students who faced problems after the government set up the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS). The pair took home RM15,000 in cash and certificates. Haresh is he newspaper's investigative and special projects editor while Pearl is roving news editor. "This is a win for the Malay Mail. We thank the editors, especially editor emeritus Frankie D' Cruz, for their guidance," said Haresh after the awards presentation ceremony last night. Pearl said: "This is a special win for Malay Mail and me. I would like to dedicate this win to our editors who have always been there to guide and inspire us." A case of lembu punya susu, SAPI dapat nama? ---- The Malay Mail's assistant news editor Pearl Lee bagged the Best Investigative Report award at the prestigious Malaysian Press Institute awards ceremony at the Royal Chulan Hotel hours earlier. Her winning article was the Fruitless RM17m City Orchard published on July 11, 2011. She was also part of the three journos nominated for the Kajai award. Foul! would like to congratulate Pearl for the well deserved win. HD says: Well done!
