Foul!

It was an interesting conversation with Kelantan FA president Annuar Musa, who is also the Ketereh MP. Annuar Musa spoke about the privatisation of the M-League - where a workshop will be held by the FA of Malaysia tomorrow (Oct 10) at UiTM in Shah Alam. My question, we spoke about privatising the league in 2005 through the establishment of MSL Sdn Bhd. Why are we speaking about it all over again? Read Dare to change, FAM? in Haresh Says today. Also, Annuar Musa was irked when several Facebook commentators had paid credit to the Pas spiritual leader Nik Aziz Nik Mat after fans were seen praying at the stands and sidelines of the stadium in Kota Baru. He says the stadium is small, forcing fans to pray at those locations - but more importantly, this is one of the very many reasons how Umno has allowed Pas to take advantage of the situation. Umno needs to act like an opposition in Kelantan, he says. And where is the 40,000 capacity stadium Nik Aziz promised in 2011, he asked?...

Newly elected Kereteh MP Annuar Musa ( pic ) insisted he will be staying as Kelantan FA president and still be recognised as the FA of Malaysia (FAM) deputy president despite still serving his 30-month suspension, as stated on his Facebook page. This came hardly 24 hours after national news agency Bernama quoted Annuar Musa as saying he is ready to quit Kafa and FAM given the new task at hand as seen here . Nevertheless, news of Annuar Musa's supposed exit from football got certain parties speculating who will best replace the outspoken president in Kafa's top post. Kafa deputy presiden Affendi Hamzah was one of the names that made its rounds. This did little to effect the team as the Red Warriors went on to whack Felda United 3-0 in Kota Baru last night.  Read more in today's Mailsport. National goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat and model Leuniey tied the knot in Pasir Pekan, Tumpat yesterday. Congratulations to the duo. The picture was taken from Oh Bulan . But let's look at the subject of weddings and the mentality of cashing in on weddings. Apparently the rights to 'cover' the Khairul Fahmi's wedding was given to one particular organisation that even the official Kelantan FA media arm was not allowed to take snap shots. Betul ka? Such was also seen during Lee Chong Wei and Wong Mew Choo's wedding dinner. The rights of the wedding was handed to another media establishment despite Chong Wei being an Astro Arena and Maxis ambassador. One would not blame the 'celebrities' for cashing in. However, it is indeed surprising that those (media organisations) who have been supporting them all along seem to have been 'dianak tirikan' for more moolah (money). Oh well.... UPDATE 1.55pm: Just got off the phone with Peter Butler who is in Indonesia at the moment. Here is what he said: "Let's get some facts straight. Firstly, I never walked out from Kelantan during my first stint. There was a clause in my contract stating Kelantan were to get back to me three months before my contract ended to notify me if they wanted to renew my contract. They never did. So I left as I was told they wanted to see how I would fare in the Malaysia Cup before thinking of renewing my contact. I came back because despite leaving, Annuar Musa and I still kept in touch and were very amicable. He offered me the job as Kelantan will be playing in the AFC Cup. What I noticed is that I was not notified about important things including the hiring of players. I would only be notified if I asked. I do not have any problems with the management. Some have also read what Kelantan FA (Kafa) president Tan Sri Annuar Musa has got to say about the drama in Kota Baru. There are claims that; 1. Peter is engineering his own ouster from the Red Warriors. 2. Peter is looking at greener pastures with another team. 3. M.Karathu is not interested and should not be bothered about taking over Peter's role should he leave. But those are just claims.
