The poor conversion rate seen at the Malaysian Games basketball competition is rather alarming.
Coaches are baffled. It's bad really. Even defending champions Johor and favourites Malacca are finding it difficult to score as seen here.
The big scorelines does not say much as most points were made available with shots under the net instead of throws.
But national women's coach Tan See Wah admitted the players are more daring to take chances.
"They are daring to score. They don't care if it goes in or not. They just try their luck."
Hopefully, things will improve in the second round stage which starts tomorrow (Maba Stadium).
