Sarawak lawyers asked to explain actions in Global Witness video

Sources told The Malay Mail the letters were handed to Kuching-based Alvin Chong and Sibu lawyer Huang Lung Ong last month and the duo will be given ‘ample’ time to reply before the committee meets again to discuss the matter.
“It is just like a court proceeding whereby both counsels will be allowed time to look into the show cause letters issued and are free to appoint lawyers, if required, to represent them. Further action can and will only be taken once the committee hears their side,” said the source who declined to be name.
