Main sponsor to pull out?

The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) could see itself losing a key main sponsor judging from the outcome of this year's Razak Cup tournament.

Word has it that the main sponsor is apparently "not pleased" with the lack of promotion of the 50th edition of the prestigious tournament and were even "caught off guard" with the rescheduling of the final which was apparently slatted for Tuesday (tomorrow) before it was brought forward tonight (8.30pm).

Many are still baffled to how the final is played on a weekday and if arrangements have been made for current Prime Minister Najib Razak to attend the final in honour of the tournament named after his father.

MHC president Tengku Abdullah was earlier quoted by Bernama as saying that there is a need to "review the Razak Cup format" due to the huge gaps between participating teams.

Hopefully, MHC would able to keep their sponsors happy for the benefit of the sport.

    The die is already cast - I do not blame the sponsors for pulling out when advise or suggestions fall on deaf ears.

    Something is seriously out of whack when a national body can do simple promotion for Razak Cup when a state body does 9 not gloating) but its a simpler fact 2 years running

The four chapters highlights Mr P's "connection kuat ", goes into why Tengku Zafrul was named as the incoming BAM president, and takes issue with the establishment of 'Yayasan Badminton Nasional' and Akademi Badminton Malaysia. Meneruskan dan memperluaskan inisiatif pelepasan cukai tambahan bagi aktiviti sukan berdasarkan senarai baharu 103 sukan berkuatkuasa Mac 2023 seperti berikut: 3. Pelepasan cukai tambahan sebanyak RM5,000 khusus berkaitan dengan aktiviti sukan yang dibelanjakan oleh individu bagi: • pembelian peralatan sukan untuk aktiviti sukan mengikut Akta Pembangunan Sukan 1997. • bayaran sewaan atau fi kemasukan ke mana-mana fasiliti sukan. • bayaran fi pendaftaran bagi penyertaan pertandingan sukan yang diluluskan di bawah Akta Pembangunan Sukan 1997. • Bayaran jurulatih/latihan/kelas untuk aktiviti sukan mengikut Akta Pembangunan Sukan 1997. Ramlan saga - Part 3

Read here for more. ----- I first wrote about the effort to remove National Sports Institute director general Dr Ramlan Aziz in March - as seen here . Then I wrote about the same subject again early May . I was invited to be a guest for this week's Kafe Sukan but had to decline as the recording was done on Sunday - the same day I left the country. Apparently Ramlan's predicament was discussed. Despite receiving numerous SMS-es - for and against what was discussed - I will refrain from commenting as I have yet to view the show.
