His DAP colleague Hannah Yeoh, who is Subang Jaya assemblyman, will contest in Segambut. Winning the Kepong seat will make Hannah an MP - elevating her political standing. The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has pledged to follow up on the collapsed multi-million ringgit tuna port project in Batu Maung, Penang. PAC deputy chairman Dr Tan Seng Giaw said the committee had investigated the matter and made several recommendations to the government at the last parliamentary session. However, nothing has come out of it since. Dr Tan was responding to a series of articles in The Malay Mail since Oct 1 over the failed tuna port project between the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM) and the joint venture company Malaysian International Tuna Port Sdn Bhd (MITP).
