As appeared in Mailsport today. MELBOURNE NATIONAL middle distance running coach S.Muthiah received the thumbs-up from Athletics Australia who want more coaches from Malaysia in their programmes. Muthiah, a three-time Sea Games champion, enjoyed a five-week stint in Australia earlier this year. Among those who worked with Muthiah was Athletics Australia coach Tim O'Shaughnessy. "I'd give Muthiah a big tick. He responded well to our training methods and programmes," said O'Shaughnessy. "Five weeks is rather short and I do hope Muthiah will come back and that other coaches will join him." Muthiah spent time in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. He also spent some time at the National Altitude Training Center in Falls Creek, Victoria during his earlier visit.
