 haresh@mmail.com.my KUALA LUMPUR — Striker Safee Sali has been gunned down by a gun and live bullets find in his pickup truck.   He told Johor Baru police he had sent his vehicle to a workshop to fix some accessories. A man driving his green Ford Ranger has been arrested.   Fresh from winning the FA Cup final, the Johor Darul Ta’zim footballer and his teammates were on their way to Johor Baru yesterday when he received a phone call that police had found a gun in his pickup truck.   Police had stopped the vehicle, driven by a 4x4 accessories workshop owner, at a roadblock near the Kempas exit at the North-South Expressway at noon yesterday.   They found a Smith & Wesson pistol and 30 live bullets in a yellow bag on the back seat of the vehicle.  “I was in the bus with my teammates in a joyous mood after beating PKNS 2-1 in the final,” Safee said.    “As we left Segam...

FAM awards match to JDT; Irfan says T-Team was under no threat

From today's NST: Johor Darul Ta'zim was awarded the abandoned FA Cup second round match against T-Team 3-0 by the FA of Malaysia's competitions committee today. The committee rejected T-Team's reason for pulling out of the match at half-time over safety concerns. However, FAM will investigate the alleged punch up at the Larkin Stadium and refer the case to its disciplinary board should any charges arise, said committee chairman Datuk Affendi Hamzah. He said with the decision, Super League club Darul Ta'zim will meet Premier League side Kedah in the FA Cup quarter-finals on F eb 11 and Feb 18 . Hodak files report after heavy loss

Kelantan coach Bojan Hodak ( pic ) has furnished Kelantan FA (Kafa) with a report after the east coast team were thrashed 6-1 by Maldives outfit Maziya Sports Club in an AFC Cup match recently. The Croatian had in the report state fatigue as the major factor to the heavy defeat. He also pointed out the team were down with 10-men after Zamri Ramli was give the marching orders. The 'embarrassing' scoreline irked several parties including Kafa president Annuar Musa who demanded for a probe. "It was a combination of several factors. The weather also played a role as we played in the hot afternoon sun. It was our ninth match in 27 days so the players were naturally tired," said Hodak as reported in Mailsport. ...and you'll get a treat from Kelantan coach Bojan Hodak ( pic ). And before the FA of Malaysia (FAM) gets excited and tries to slap Hodak with an Article 88, fret not as he is NOT complaining. As far as Hodak is concerned, being good comes with a price as the Red Warriors are playing in numerous tournaments (Super League, FA Cup and AFC Cup) at one go.
