The article was about how a former footballer disclosed the Kuala Lumpur FA was managed by an alleged bookie in 2013. Read the full report here . Sunday Mail's front page published on April 9, 2017 It's been close to 10 months since I left Malay Mail, last serving as its Executive Editor. And winning the Sportswriters Association of Malaysia (SAM)-100Plus Best News Report (Print) award for the above-mentioned article at PJ Hilton last night was a humbling moment. Ironically, the headline of the winning article is reflective of life as well - of how one should know when is the right time to 'hold', 'let go' or 'attack'. Congratulation...

UPDATE: News of my win appeared on the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) website . 2012 - 2011 Sportswriters Association of Malaysia (SAM) Journalist of the Year & Best Special Report award. 2013 - 2012 SAM Best Report award. 2014 - 2013 Malaysian Press Institute Best News Report award. 2015 - 2014 SAM Best Commentary award. Yesterday - 2015 Siebel Award (Journalist of the Year) & Best News Report award. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am truly humbled.

Sultan Ahamd, Ahmad Rithauddeen to receive AFF awards

UPDATE 4.16pm: Received a phone call saying two names were 'missing' from the original list sent out in the AFF Best XI Left back: Theerathon Bunmathan (THA) Centre Midfield - Safiq Rahim (MAS) Looks like we do have ONE Malaysian on the Best XI list. -------------- Two Malaysians - FA of Malaysia (FAM) president Sultan Ahmad Shah and Ahmad Rithauddeen are the recepients of the Asean Goodwill Award and the Life Service Award respectively which will be given out during the inaugural AFF Awards on April 3. Meanwhile, Sabri Mat Daud and Widiya Habibah Shamsuri were nominated for the best asisstant referees of the year (men and women's categories respectively). National coach K.Rajagobal is in the running for the Best Coach of the Year award while the Harimau Malaya squad were nominated for the Best Team of the Year Award.
