Yet, three-time Olympian Josiah Ng is seen as not good enough for the National Sports Council (NSC).

He was considered for a coaching role in the NSC cycling programme last year but he did not get the job eventually.

But the NSC’s loss is certainly Sarawak’s gain. The 41-year-old Josiah has now been entrusted with the task to coach the Sarawak cycling team for the 2022 Malaysia Games (Sukma) in Johor.

This appeared in The Star today.

On Feb 24, news website Twentytwo13 tweeted:



The former national cyclist was also Thailand's coach. And Josiah was left stunned after he was branded a traitor on social media following Jai Angsuthasawit's Asian Games gold medal victory in the men’s keirin.

So Josiah is good enough for Thailand, good enough for Sepang International Circuit and good enough for Sarawak but not good enough for NSC?

Perhaps the Council has a "sound" explanation. Or perhaps the Council believes not all good athletes become good coaches. 

Instead of playing the "perhaps" game and trying to figure out why NSC has not tapped on his expertise, it's best we wish Josiah all the best. 

You'll never know, he could eventually end up in NSC ...

Papa win, papa win.

Those were the words of three-year-old Dasha Ong. National coach Ong Kim Swee has not seen his wife Alodle Donna Derick, Dasha and his seven month old baby Dashie for almost a month. And the words of Dasha just hours prior the kick off between Indonesia and Malaysia in the final certainly motivated Kim Swee. In return, Kim Swee motivated the lads and they won. From 'Mr P' to 'Kemelut Dalaman BAM': Four chapters of 'mesej Whatsapp layang'

Surat layang , or rather ' mesej Whatsapp (or some will pronounce as Wasup) layang '. That was what I received this afternoon from a number that is not registered on my phone. The sender identified him/herself as " ahli yg memerhati tingkah laku BAM " (Badminton Association of Malaysia). The four chapters were titled as:  'Siapa dia Tan Sri BAM "Mr P"' Perletakan Jawatan Presiden BAM 'Siapa Tengku Zafrul' Kemelut Dalaman BAM There were many allegations to which the sender justified as not " fitnah " but " hakikat apa yg berlaku ". The four chapters highlights Mr P's "connection kuat ", goes into why Tengku Zafrul was named as the incoming BAM president, and takes issue with the establishment of 'Yayasan Badminton Nasional' and Akademi Badminton Malaysia.
