Laos 1 Malaysia 4

Malaysia defeated Laos 4-1 in the second group match in the AFF Cup.

Both teams were tied to a 1-1 draw in the first half. The goals for Malaysia came from Safiq Rahim, Safee Sali (pic), Wan Zack Haikal and Khyril Muhymeen Zambri.

So will we now see a video of 'fans' singing 'Thank you Rajagobal'?

Earlier Indonesia managed a 1-0 win over Singapore.

It will certainly be an interesting clash between Malaysia and Indonesia this Saturday.

Interesting clash for sure! Clear mission - Malaysia need to win v Indonesia and qualify for Semis!

  2. Funny how when Malaysia lose, the team get a barracking but when they win, everyone hops on the glory bandwagon. Hypocrites or delirious 'fans'? What say you?

    1. No la...kalah menang is part & parcel of the game but look at how we lost the match with that kind of 'kindergarden' display..

    2. win, we applause. lose we criticize

      or

win, we applause. lose we applause.

      Which one is funny?

    3. Exactly. If our team loses a match, we are not allowed to criticise at all? We must celebrate defeat and mediocrity too? Arief Arman, that does not make sense does it?

In fact, criticism and credits should apply to both victory and defeat, but certainly at varying proportions.

The team can always improve on its previous performance and valour should always be appreciated.

    1. Setuju dgn kamarul n tahniah utk rajagopal kerana berani meninggalkn slh sorg ank emas dbangku simpanan. Ini kerana sememangnya persembahan amar rohidan tlh menurun n tidak sepatutnya berada dlm kesebelasan. Pemilihan shakir adlh tepat.

Namun bertemu indonesia adlh merupakan lwn yg sebenar. Mereka juga mempunyai winger yg laju n lincah.

Malaysia pula harus mempertajamkn barisan serangan n perkemaskan pertahanan terutama ketika counter attack. Apapun persembahan Fadhli mlm td adalah terbaek. Keeper pula x byk dpt kita perkatakan kerana hanya mendapat bola beberapa kali sahaja ttp harus bersedia utk berdepan pahlawan garuda nanti.

  4. "Triumph or Beheaded"

The Malaysian are in danger of elimination if they fail to collect full points against Indonesia come Saturday.
The Malaysian placed third in the group behind Singapore on goal differences need to step-up their playing ability seriously "Triumph or beheaded"

Moreover, the standard of play ditched out by the teams in the tournament so far are so poor tactically and technically which gives equal playing field to all the teams.

    Shame on you AFF...!

  6. Yes, relieved. But I am still not fully convinced. A win against Laos is par and expected. A bigger and real test would be Indonesia next and hopefully, Thailand later.

Against Spore, it was not the defeat that really mattered but the manner of the defeat and the embarrassing scoreline. K Rajagobal has probably brought Harimau Malaya as far as he could. That is my opinion for now.
