Pahang's Jalaluddin eager to stamp mark

Jalaluddin Jaafar is known for being a one-club player but the 38-year-old veteran's CV remains incomplete as missing is a Malaysia Cup medal. Pekan-born Jalaluddin, who signed with Pahang in 1997 after guiding their state Malaysia Games team to the football gold medal in the 1996 edition on home soil, is desperate to win the trophy which has eluded him throughout his career.

The closest he has come to lifting the trophy was in 1997 when Pahang, then coached by Dane Jorgen E. Larson, were beaten 1-0 by Selangor.

Now, after 16 years, Jalaluddin, who has played over 400 games for Pahang, is daring to dream big again after helping his team secure a two-goal cushion from the semi-final first leg last week against Sarawak. They play the second leg at the State Stadium in Kuching on Saturday.

    Something tells me that Pahang will still make it to the finals despite losing the return leg match.

    The s'wak goalkeeper during the first leg showed inconsistencies in his approach towards certain situations. If the antics by the goalkeeper continuous then they can be assured of getting eliminated.
    The antics shown by the GK gives me the mix feelings, whether it was done intentionally or otherwise - SPRM must watch this closely. The approaches and actions shown by the GK should warrant an investigation, in my opinion.

    By the way, i'm not that interested to watching Malaysian local football. However, i still do it and want to know because of the other elements surrounding it - Match fixing!

From 'Mr P' to 'Kemelut Dalaman BAM': Four chapters of 'mesej Whatsapp layang'

Surat layang , or rather ' mesej Whatsapp (or some will pronounce as Wasup) layang '. That was what I received this afternoon from a number that is not registered on my phone. The sender identified him/herself as " ahli yg memerhati tingkah laku BAM " (Badminton Association of Malaysia). The four chapters were titled as:  'Siapa dia Tan Sri BAM "Mr P"' Perletakan Jawatan Presiden BAM 'Siapa Tengku Zafrul' Kemelut Dalaman BAM There were many allegations to which the sender justified as not " fitnah " but " hakikat apa yg berlaku ". The four chapters highlights Mr P's "connection kuat ", goes into why Tengku Zafrul was named as the incoming BAM president, and takes issue with the establishment of 'Yayasan Badminton Nasional' and Akademi Badminton Malaysia.
